THE DEPARTMENT

The mission of the Data & Analytics Department is to maximize the value of Aritzia’s data by making it available, insightful and actionable to foster a culture of data-driven decision making.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is experiencing exponential growth, and the Data & Analytics team is growing with it. As a member of the Data & Analytics Department supporting our Digital ambitions, you will be part of the team that bridges the gap between business strategy and data. As the Lead Data Analyst, you will combine your deep understanding of Paid Media and Performance Marketing with your passion for data and masterful analytics skills to champion data-informed decisions. You will be responsible for collaborating closely with stakeholders to translate data requirements into tactically and strategically sound data models and leverage various analytical methods to provide reliable insights. THE JOB

As the Lead Data Analyst, you will:

  • Support Aritzia’s Performance Marketing agency partner in experimental design, setup, and post experiment interpretation, and compliment experiments with causal inference approaches to further understand Paid Media impact in-store and online
  • Support our Paid Media and Performance Marketing teams with statistics and advanced analytics for A/B testing
  • Work with our business partners to deliver predictive CLTV and customer segmentation for Paid Media
  • Add value through advanced analytics (e.g., synthetic control) to understand incrementality of affiliate and customer acquisition value
  • Provide technical leadership to elevate the analytics acumen amongst the team and stakeholders
  • Deliver weekly and quarterly performance insights by extracting and analyzing data to support stakeholder decision-making

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Lead Data Analyst has:

  • Proven and best-in-class skills, education and/or applicable certifications:
    • Experience with interpreting and analyzing data using advanced statistical techniques and leveraging tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, Python/R, BigQuery/BigQuery ML, and Google Co-Lab (Notebooks)
    • Background in Paid Media, Performance Marketing, and/or eCommerce is preferred
    • Experience with designing and conducting geo-experiments to measure the impact of online advertising. This includes knowledge of matched market tests, holdout groups, and incrementality measurement techniques
    • Experience with providing technical leadership to other Data Analysts with mentorship, training documentation and peer review
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of operational efficiency, continuous growth, and shared business outcomes
  • The ability to set clear objectives and champion data-informed decisions within eCommerce and Performance Marketing teams

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $75,000 - $125,000 per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
