We're looking for individuals who are comfortable working with computers, have experience with data annotation or object detection, and can maintain a high level of accuracy while performing detailed, repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Object Detection Annotation: Identify, label, and annotate objects within visual datasets using designated annotation tools and project-specific instructions.
  • Ensure Annotation Accuracy: Apply established labeling standards to ensure annotations are accurate, complete, and consistent across assigned datasets.
  • Follow Project Guidelines: Adhere to detailed annotation instructions, classification criteria, and quality standards to maintain reliable and standardized results.
  • Review and Validate Annotations: Evaluate completed annotations for accuracy, identify labeling errors or inconsistencies, and make corrections as needed.
  • Maintain Data Quality: Recognize unclear objects, ambiguous classifications, and annotation challenges, escalating questions or inconsistencies through established project channels.
  • Utilize Digital Annotation Tools: Navigate web-based annotation platforms and other digital tools efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
  • Meet Productivity and Quality Expectations: Complete assigned annotation workloads within established timelines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Communicate with project coordinators, team leads, and quality assurance personnel to clarify instructions, resolve annotation questions, and support consistent project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen as required for project eligibility.
  • Data Annotation Experience: Previous experience performing data annotation, image labeling, object detection, or similar structured data labeling tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including familiarity with web-based applications, digital tools, and online work platforms.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately identify visual objects, distinguish between classifications, and consistently apply detailed annotation requirements.
  • Ability to Follow Instructions: Demonstrated ability to understand and follow structured workflows, labeling guidelines, and quality assurance standards.
  • Consistency and Accuracy: Ability to maintain a high level of precision when performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks over extended periods.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage assigned workloads while meeting established productivity expectations and deadlines.
  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining regular communication with project leads and team members.
  • Schedule Commitment: Must be available to work the required full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Central Time, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience may strengthen a candidate's application:

  • Previous experience with AI data annotation, computer vision, or machine learning data preparation.
  • Familiarity with object detection annotation techniques, including bounding boxes, image classification, or object labeling.
  • Experience using data annotation or image labeling platforms.
  • Background in quality assurance, data validation, or digital content review.
  • Ability to recognize and resolve inconsistencies in visual datasets.
  • Previous experience working on high-volume annotation projects with defined productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Familiarity with structured task management systems and remote collaboration tools.
