THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Architect to join our dynamic Data Engineering team in a healthcare-focused company. This role is critical in ensuring that our data infrastructure scales seamlessly to support the company's rapid growth. The Data Architect will focus on upgrading the tech stack, introducing data operations technologies, automating QA processes, and managing the Master Data Management (MDM) tool. In addition, this role will support the development team by resolving technical issues and improving workflows, ensuring timely and efficient data processing.

WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:
- Design and implement scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines to process and manage large datasets.
- Develop and maintain robust data models that support multi-source integrations and advanced analytics.
- Optimize database architecture and performance to ensure smooth data accessibility across teams and stakeholders.
- Define and implement governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA standards).
- Regularly monitor data systems to identify and address inconsistencies, gaps, or inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with IT and Security teams to ensure adherence to organizational policies and compliance with industry regulations.
- Introduce advanced data operations technologies to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Automate quality assurance (QA) processes for data accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor data operations dashboards and metrics to ensure smooth and timely data processing.
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of the Master Data Management (MDM) tool.
- Ensure the MDM system is optimized for data consistency, accuracy, and usability across all organizational functions.
- Partner with developers and other team members to resolve technical issues and implement efficient solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across product, engineering, and data teams to align data strategies with business goals.
- Provide expertise and mentorship to the data engineering team to strengthen technical capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Architect.
- 10+ years of total technical experience in data-related roles.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies is highly desirable.
- Proficient in SQL Server, Python, and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, including HL7 and FHIR.
- Skilled in designing scalable data pipelines and optimizing database performance.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex data architecture challenges.
- Capacity to foresee potential bottlenecks and design proactive solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into actionable deliverables for stakeholders.
- A meticulous focus on data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
