Perficient has a career opportunity for a Data Migration Architect to join our team. Candidates can be based in most major metro areas in US near airport, and be willing to work on hybrid basis if/when needed and travel up to 25% if/when needed. As a part of our data intelligence and analytics group, you’ll help shape the future of high-quality data solutions. You'll work as part of a team of self-starters and problem solvers, solving our clients’ most complex business needs.

Responsibilities

The Data Migration Architect owns the design authority for the data migration from Oracle ATG to the selected commerce platform: the source-to-target mapping every engineer builds from, what gets migrated versus federated versus rebuilt, and how correctness is proven at each regional cutover. A design and judgment role, not hands-on build. The architect owns the mapping, reviews what the team and AI assistance produce, and defends the design to the client’s architects and business stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Source-to-target design on enterprise data migrations, with demonstrable ownership of a mapping used by a delivery team
  • Oracle data models, including the ability to read a legacy application’s schema and metadata-driven or repository-style structures
  • SAP ECC data structures for customer, pricing, contract and order data, enough to specify extracts and judge what should stay federated
  • Commerce object modeling on Adobe Commerce or Salesforce Commerce: B2B account hierarchies, catalogs, quotes, carts, price models
  • Judgment on federation versus migration, and the seniority to defend it with a demanding enterprise client
  • Phased, multi-region cutover design: parallel running, delta synchronization, reconciliation and rollback
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Must be open to travel (up to 25%, as needed)
  • Preferred east coast or Midwest locations near one of the Perficient offices, including Chicago, IL, Dallas, Houston or Austin TX, Charlotte NC, Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, Detroit, MI, and other locations near airport may be considered.
  • Preferred: Oracle ATG, life sciences or regulated industry, GDPR/PIPL data residency, working familiarity with PL/SQL and dbt
