VetsEZ is seeking a detail-oriented Data Migration Engineer to support the PTEMS program. This 100% remote position will focus on planning, designing, and executing data migration strategies to ensure the accurate, secure, and efficient transfer of data between legacy systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365/Power Platform solutions. The candidate will collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver high-quality migration solutions that meet business and compliance requirements.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze source and target systems to develop comprehensive data migration plans, including timelines, resources, and risk assessments.
  • Design and implement data mapping, cleansing, and transformation processes tailored to Dynamics 365 entities and Power Platform data models.
  • Develop, test, and execute data migration scripts and workflows using KingswaySoft, Scribe, Azure Data Factory, or custom ETL tools.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance to ensure migration success and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and align solutions with business objectives.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, mappings, and issue logs; provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Provide post-migration support, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies, data privacy, and security standards.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience on data migration projects involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Proficiency with migration tools such as KingswaySoft, Scribe, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with ETL processes.
  • Experience with data mapping, cleansing, and validation for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 data models, Dataverse, and Power Platform architecture.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics products at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Experience migrating data for CRM or ERP modules within Dynamics 365.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (C#, PowerShell, Python) for automation.
  • Experience with data governance, privacy, and compliance in Microsoft cloud environments.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or related data management technologies.
  • Prior experience collaborating with VA stakeholders to optimize CRM workflows and enhance service delivery.
  • Experience supporting CRM systems within a federal agency environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Government clearance.
