The Role

As a Data Quality Analyst at EDO, you'll be focused on maintaining correct metadata throughout all aspects of the business - from grooming our brand-product taxonomy to correcting mistakes made during our offshore ad-review process. This is a fast-paced position with a high focus on accuracy and consistency. You'll be trained on our in-house semantic definitions, and apply that training to ensure that EDO's data correctly reflects our clients' ability to measure ad effectiveness. This is a critical role that will be working side-by-side with analytics, sales, product, and data science leadership to bring EDO data to life and maximize value for these high-profile clients.

Note: This is NOT a data science position.

What You Will Do

  • Support client report preparation by proactively providing clean data
  • Maintain client dashboards
  • Regular taxonomy grooming and mapping
  • Test and provide feedback on new data tools as they are developed
  • Review and correct data generated offshore and gather examples for training purposes
  • Analyze existing and new creative video assets to ensure audio/video quality of creatives
  • Analyze data tables in excel or Google Sheets
  • Document data quality processes
  • Identify root causes of data quality issues and propose systematic solutions
  • Recommend or build lightweight scripts, queries, or tools to automate quality checks and metrics tracking

What We Are Looking For

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in a role involving information organization
  • Experience writing SQL queries
  • Strong command working in Excel and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, filters)
  • Passion for advertising, live sports, and TV
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Versatility, i.e., the ability and willingness to wear multiple hats and switch gears frequently.
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, and who has the desire to be part of a fast-growing, exciting, and nimble start up company.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience writing code or building small automations
  • Exposure to taxonomy systems
  • Experience performing quality assurance tasks on production systems.

Compensation and Benefits

EDO offers a competitive compensation package. Components of compensation include:

  • Mid-stage equity and competitive salary
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Medical, dental and vision coverage, deeply discounted by EDO
  • 401(k) plan, FSA, HSA
  • Commuter Benefits
  • When in an office, employee meals, snacks, and more

Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, experience, location and the level of education attained of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
