Position Overview: As a Data Science Intern, you will work closely with the Business Team to support the execution and management of the internship program. This role provides you with hands-on experience in data analytics, program management, and business strategy. You will contribute to the analysis of program performance, assist in the identification of key metrics, and help develop insights that inform decision-making for the overall success of the internship program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the collection, cleaning, and analysis of data related to the internship program.

  • Auditing specific aspects of the current business structures.

  • Help develop and maintain dashboards to track intern performance and program outcomes.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to help improve the program's effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with Projxon consultants to analyze client data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights.

  • Support internal data-driven projects to improve operational efficiencies, including data visualization, reporting, and strategic recommendations.

  • Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to solve real-world business problems.

  • Assist in improving the Growth Advisory Program by building data-focused resources that enhance participants' skill development and system integration capabilities.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into data solutions.

  • Document processes, methodologies, and insights to contribute to Projxon's knowledge base.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program (Bachelor's or Master’s) in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

  • Familiarity with work management software such as Asana.

  • Familiarity with data science packages such as Pandas, NumPy, Statsmodels, etc.

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or academic project experience in data science, business analytics, or related fields.

  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.

  • Knowledge of internship program management or recruitment processes.

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) is a plus.

  • Passion for working in a start-up environment and a willingness to take on new challenges.

This internship is unpaid, designed for educational purposes, and complies with FLSA regulations. It offers valuable exposure to Data Science, helping to build a strong foundation for a career in Data Science.
