R1 is seeking a Data Science Product Manager with a background in hospital revenue cycle to join our team.  

This will be a hybrid role combining product skills with data science and technical expertise.  

  • On the product side, the role requires strong leadership, communication and project management skills with the ability to drive change and collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
  • On the technical side, the role requires data skills including data analysis, SQL or Python experience, and prompt engineering; the role also serves as a crucial bridge between business stakeholders and engineering . 

Responsibilities: 

  • Product Management: Develop science solutions within our product offerings in healthcare revenue cycle. Utilize research, stakeholder insights, and business expertise to perform prompt engineering, review model architecture, and guide data scientists in feature engineering. 
  • Project Management: Prepare high quality plans and roadmaps that synthesize data science vision and progress. Groom, prioritize and juggle multiple data science projects.  
  • Innovative Analytics and Product Insights: Create informative visualizations that intuitively display large amounts of data and/or complex relationships for internal stakeholders. Independently research business challenges and model results using SQL, Python or other tools. Research model results and features to hone performance. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering. Distill complex data concepts into simple language and business concepts. 
  • Leadership: Collaborate fluidly with engineering counterparts and business stakeholders; lead brainstorms and strategy sessions to understand business challenges and root causes. Present to stakeholders and management and drive project alignment. 
  • Healthcare Industry Expertise: Understand healthcare revenue cycle processes and regulations. 

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of healthcare or business experience.  
  • 2+ years of experience working with data, data analytics, or data science. 
  • Demonstrated success working with and leading cross-functional teams. 
  • Experience taking complex business problems and coming up with clear strategies, solutions, and roadmaps. 
  • Experience creating analytics tools and visualizing data and model results utilizing a modern BI tool (Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, etc.). 
  • Experience juggling shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment and staying on top of tight deadlines. 
  • Can-do attitude with a demonstrated ability to get things done under minimal supervision and drive results across cross functional teams.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid presentation skills and proven ability to run effective meetings with interactions at all levels of an organization. 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years healthcare experience. 
  • 2+ years of experience working in data science. 
  • Revenue cycle expertise including processes, structures, and objectives. 
  • Knowledge of data science techniques and machine learning modeling concepts including real-world advantages/drawbacks. 
  • Experience working with Azure Machine Learning and notebook coding environments. 
  • Knowledge of performance improvement techniques for extracting large datasets from SQL-based environments. 
  • Experience delivering advanced statistical concepts through Power BI.
     
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $90,000.00 - $138,517.79 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
