DCSA - PPBE Support Analyst

Location: Remote

Security Clearance Required: Top Secret

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Management & Data Analyst to join our dynamic PPBE workstream. In this role, the resource will be providing the federal government client with direct support to key financial management activities across the entire PPBE lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in federal finance, data analysis, and program management. The resource will directly contribute to enhancing the client's financial transparency and decision-making capabilities through expert analysis, dashboard development, and strategic support.

Responsibilities:

       Monitor and report on the status of funds for various programs and appropriations, providing timely and accurate budget execution analysis

       Design, develop, and maintain interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards to visualize complex financial data and key performance indicators

       Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues, offering actionable recommendations to client leadership

       Perform ad-hoc data analysis and respond to complex data "taskers" using advanced Excel and Alteryx workflows to clean, transform, and analyze disparate datasets

       Provide program management support for critical financial milestones, including leading efforts for a successful and timely fiscal year-end close-out

       Develop and deliver high-quality, data-driven briefings and presentation materials for senior-level client stakeholders

       Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholder expectations are managed effectively

       Collaborate effectively with client personnel and team members to understand requirements, solve problems, and deliver exceptional results

       Provide analytical support to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of budget-related activities

Requirements:

       Basic understanding of the federal Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process

       Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience in handling large datasets

       Proficient in data visualization and dashboard development using Power BI

       Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders

       Proactive and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills

       Self-motivated and able to prioritize workload effectively

       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; preferred experience with dashboarding tools such as MS PowerBI

       Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

       Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, data science, business administration, or a related field

       Prior experience in budget formulation, budget execution, financial analysis, or data analytics

       Familiarity with government budgeting processes and regulations
