As a Design Director of Experience Design at Huge, you are a world-class professional responsible for leading experience design initiatives for high-profile clients and their brands. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, user-centered solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.

We are seeking a visionary leader with proven expertise in managing high-profile clients and a strong focus on experience design. Your role will involve setting the creative direction, driving innovation, and ensuring exceptional design quality across all projects. By crafting impactful user experiences, you will help shape the future of our clients' digital products and services.

What will you do?

Client management:

  • Interact with and manage world-class clients and their brands, serving as a key point of contact for all creative matters, and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, Understand clients' business objectives and translate them into effective design strategies.

Leadership and team management:

  • Lead and oversee the entire design process and creative work within multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring collaboration and cohesion, while fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
  • Mentor and develop creative team members, transmitting passion, and helping them build their career paths, grow their skills and expertise.

Creative direction and innovation:

  • Set the creative direction for projects, ensuring alignment with clients' brand guidelines and objectives.
  • Drive innovation and push the boundaries of design, keeping up with industry trends and best practices.
  • Inspire and motivate the team to deliver world-class design solutions.

Quality control and client satisfaction:

  • Ensure the highest standards of design excellence and quality control across all projects.
  • Regularly review and provide feedback on design deliverables to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitor project progress and timelines, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
What do we expect from you?
  • 8+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in digital design and experience teams.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing innovative user experiences, with expertise in systems thinking and design system development.
  • Strong experience in tokenization, enabling scalable and efficient design solutions across digital products.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance design processes and create intelligent user experiences.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey experience design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in managing high-profile clients with multi-track programs, ensuring exceptional outcomes through collaboration and strategic vision.
  • A passion for creating user-centered solutions that deliver impact and foster meaningful connections between users and products.
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines: partnering with project management to shape scopes, client services to grow relationships, and strategy teams to craft briefs that guide impactful decisions.
  • Active engagement with the design community, contributing to discussions on emerging technologies, systems thinking, and experience design practices.
  • Awareness of current trends in experience design, including AI integration, automation, and user-driven personalization.
  • Strong mentorship and coaching skills, with a proven ability to help talent grow and deliver outstanding work.

This role is currently not available for hire or work in New Mexico, and Hawaii, USA.

The salary range for this position is as listed below. Exactly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the actual salary ranges for current and former employees who are either currently filling a similar role or did in the past; the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations; the market demand for that role and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based. For current Huge employees, tenure will also be a consideration.
