Our large enterprise client is looking for a strong Design Verification Engineer with Electrical Engineering fundamentals. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, be creative, think critically, and able to analyze & distill complex issues.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Design Verification and Assurance activities of consumer Devices. Game controller experience is a major plus
- Create automated tests using scripting language (LUA) and lab test equipment
- C/C++ Programming
- Developing, implementation and execution of the test plan
- Identify test tool requirements, and participate in specification and design reviews.
- Capability to analyze hardware and firmware designs with an orientation to identify design risks.
- Perform verification testing on consumer electronic product.
- Study the product design and requirements
- Track bugs using Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Create Test Reports
- Perform system and circuit level troubleshooting
- 3+ years’ experience in Hardware Test/Verification, preferably with consumer electronics.
- Experience developing test plans and procedures
- Able to create test scripts in C++, C and LUA
- Understands how to read design specifications and develop relevant test cases
- Be able to execute tests with little to no supervision
- Find complex bugs, open & track them while recording and informing others of all appropriate and relevant info
- Develop new and modify existing tests with creative ideas and simplification
- Be concise and clear in email and documented communications
- Communicate verbally with integrity and truthfulness both horizontally and vertically
- Set and track their own project and task level priorities.
- Be timely with reporting and test execution
- Expertise with instrumentation & measurement analyzers/sensors
