Nordstrom Rack

As a Senior Designer for Abound & Leith, you will be responsible for leading the design deliverable for both brands, conceptualizing, sketching, and executing item assortments that align with the Brand Ethos and reflect current fashion trends relevant to the Nordstrom Rack Young & Trend Customers. You will collaborate cross-functionally with concept, merchandising, product development, and technical design teams to effectively bring the brand vision to life in compelling seasonal deliveries. 

 
A day in the life…  

  • Conceptualize, accurately sketch and execute ideas that represent target customers
  • Design original and commercially viable product. 
  • Bring seasonal assortments to life with thoughtful application of color and print across new, core, and carryover styles. 
  • Act as fashion authority by researching and analyzing the market with a focus on the young & trend customer lifestyle trends, needs and end uses. 
  • Identify and apply relevant raw materials, aesthetics, and silhouettes 
  • Manage calendar and workload across design team to ensure all milestones and due dates are met. 
  • Effectively collaborate with leadership and cross-divisional partners to ensure alignment on priorities and direction. 
  • Manage, develop and inspire a creative, efficient and effective design team through performance feedback, goal setting and development plans 
      

You own this if you have… 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, preferred 
  • 7+ years' experience in design industry and 2+ years of experience managing a design team, preferred 
  • Strong ability to sketch 
  • Strong understanding of industry and trends in young adult & trend womenswear 
  • Ability to handle high volume of styles 
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver the right level of detail appropriate to the audience 
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills 
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and Adobe CS. 
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skill, and ability to work independently or as a team

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$110,500.00 - $183,000.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
