YOUR MISSION

Software is the foundation of True Anomaly’s innovation. As a DevOps Engineer I, you will support our engineering teams by learning and assisting with the deployment, monitoring, and automation of our software systems. In this entry-level role, you’ll work under the guidance of experienced DevOps professionals, helping to maintain and improve our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

This is a 3 month temporary employment engagement. There is potential to convert to regular employment based on performance and business need.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn the fundamentals of software deployment and operations, contributing to the evolution of our cloud-based systems.
  • Assist in maintaining reliable, version-controlled deployments that play a vital role in our engineering and product development.
  • Work alongside senior team members to support and refine CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Assist in deploying and scaling applications on container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), ensuring that these environments meet performance and cost expectations.
  • Support the design and management of cloud-based solutions, primarily on Azure, while applying security best practices.
  • Help provision and manage cloud resources using tools like Terraform.
  • Collaborate with security teams by following established security guidelines and best practices.
  • Assist in monitoring system performance and troubleshooting performance or deployment issues.
  • Participate in building and refining Docker images for our development and testing environments.
  • Experiment with emerging development tools and techniques, aiming to modernize and streamline our workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud environments, or systems administration
  • Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and familiarity with command line tools
  • Introductory experience or coursework in CI/CD concepts, containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to basic scripting languages such as Bash or Python
  • A strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Any hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) or related certifications is a plus
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform can be beneficial
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and technology advancement through projects or internships

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary:  Denver: $75,000; Long Beach: $80,000

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Location—this role will be onsite at either our Centennial, CO or Long Beach, CA location, with travel to other sites as needed.
  • Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
