ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and proactive DevOps Engineer who will take charge of our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role is critical to ensuring the high availability and resilience of our recording-to-text pipeline, privacy-sensitive data handling, robust security measures, and cost optimization initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate across international teams and play a key role in evolving our AWS-hosted services, ensuring compliance with global standards and industry best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS infrastructures.

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid deployment cycles while ensuring system stability and performance.

Data Privacy & Security:

  • Develop and enforce robust security policies to safeguard sensitive data captured by our recording devices.

  • Implement access control, encryption, and monitoring solutions to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

Service Stability and Reliability:

  • Monitor system performance and develop proactive incident response strategies to maintain 24/7 operational uptime.

  • Optimize resource usage and manage disaster recovery planning to ensure overall service resilience.

Cost Optimization:

  • Analyze cloud usage and implement cost reduction measures without compromising performance or security.

  • Identify and adopt innovative strategies to streamline operations and improve ROI on cloud resources.

Compliance & Best Practices:

  • Ensure our services adhere to global compliance standards and industry best practices, including data handling and security protocols.

  • Audit existing workflows and implement necessary changes to maintain alignment with regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders across different regions to ensure alignment and seamless integration of DevOps strategies.

  • Document technical processes, develop training materials, and mentor junior team members on DevOps best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, and integrate them into the existing infrastructure where applicable.

  • Participate in post-incident reviews and propose system enhancements to prevent future occurrences.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or cloud engineering roles, preferably with a focus on AWS environments.

Technical Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and more.

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

  • Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or ECS.

Security & Compliance:

  • Deep understanding of data privacy, network security protocols, and regulatory compliance best practices.

  • Proven track record in implementing robust security strategies and performing regular system audits.

Operational Excellence:

  • Demonstrated ability to design and manage resilient CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including international teams.

Problem Solving:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

GREAT TO HAVE

  • Familiarity with OpenAI or similar AI processing frameworks, particularly in speech-to-text conversion and natural language processing workflows.

  • Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP) or hybrid cloud deployments.

  • Prior experience working in a startup environment with a focus on rapid scaling and operational agility.

  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices, integrating security deeply into the continuous integration process.

  • Ability to travel internationally as needed for team collaboration and training sessions.
