Description

We’re looking to hire someone who can help on some of our largest campaigns. The work centers around mobilizing people to take action with our clients, often with an emphasis on digital fundraising. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience with the tools of our trade, a familiarity with small-dollar fundraising programs, and some experience working on a political campaign, or at an organization or a firm as part of a digital operation.

Success in this position means you’ll have the understanding and ability to execute at each and every stage of a successful online, small-dollar fundraising operation.

Aisle 518 Strategies has a fully remote workforce, and roles are open to candidates across the United States.

What are you bottom-line responsible for?

Learning the key aspects of digital (direct response & persuasion) advertising and manage your accounts with a high degree of support.

What outcomes are expected of you?

  1. Absorb the strategy of direct response advertising, with a focus on short and long-term ROI tracking and the comparative advantages of key platforms and vendors.
  2. Gain proficiency across core ad platforms like Facebook and Adwords (incl. loading creative, setting targeting, making optimizations, and reporting), with mastery of Facebook direct response advertising.
  3. Gain proficiency in list rentals and other types of acquisition buys.
  4. Make recommendations on pacing & optimizations for internal strategists and teams.
  5. Assist in all elements of an account, and/or own certain aspects of a mid-size or larger account, including projections and media planning, content creation, ad testing, trafficking, optimizing, reporting, CRM management, client communication, and cost tracking.
  6. Where appropriate/possible, shadow-manage an account (manage with a high degree of support after learning the basics).
  7. Gain a basic, big-picture understanding of persuasion programs, if not experience supporting a program.

What approaches are key for success in this role?

  • Meticulous attention to detail & high degree of organization
  • Curious about data and eager to dig into why the numbers are what they are
  • Being proactive in taking on assignments and identifying potential issues before they arise.
  • Being over communicative, especially around optimizations.
  • Willingness to ask questions

What do I need from my manager/team to succeed:

  • Exposure to all aspects of a digital ad campaign and support in learning all the different key responsibilities
  • Training sessions and daily support on DR strategy, ad platform trafficking and optimizations, and reporting, including thorough QAs of writing, trafficking, and in-platform changes.
  • Clear and consistent feedback.
  • Coaching on client management/communication.

Qualifications

  • At least one cycle of experience as part of a digital team on a political campaign, at a political organization, or a political firm.
  • Fluency with CRMs like ActionKit, NGP, or Action Network and familiarity with ActBlue.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and measuring results
  • Knowledge of broadcast or peer-to-peer or texting tools would be great, but not required.
  • High level of competency in HTML is necessary; some experience with CSS is a plus.
  • Excel and Photoshop skills would be great but aren’t required.
  • A desire to learn the ins and outs of running a comprehensive digital engagement program and willingness to try things no one else in the space is doing.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
