The Digital Associate supports paid media accounts by writing ad copy, developing ideas, executing campaigns in Meta and Google Ads, and collaborating with the team.
DIGITAL ASSOCIATE, PAID MEDIA (TEMPORARY)
Location: Remote (All states except CA or WA)
Position: Full-time (Temporary)
Salary: $54,000
Digital Associates are expected to provide support across all paid media client accounts with supervision and applicable training. Over time, paid media associates may take on additional responsibilities within the team.
Responsibilities
- Write, fact check, and proofread a high volume of engaging fundraising and persuasion ad copy across paid media channels with an emphasis on drafting P2P texts, Meta ads, Google Search ads.
- Brainstorm and develop creative ideas rooted in fundraising and persuasion best practices for our clients in collaboration with paid media client leads
- Write direct-to-camera scripts for a variety of clients that inspire supporters to take action
- Collaborate with the creative team to bring your graphic and video ideas to fruition
- Ensure all content is rooted in the authentic and honest voice of the client
- Respond to topics in real-time by drafting ads and texts in response to news stories that are breaking fast
- Work to execute digital advertising strategy for our clients to meet their goals
- Set up and QA ad campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads
- Assist with ad optimizations to improve performance while tracking spend
- Contribute to a collaborative culture that helps improve our work product
- Provides short-term coverage of client communications and account needs including attending meetings, owning follow-ups, and managing related execution tasks
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the issues and a passion for electing Democratic candidates and advancing the progressive movement
- Transferable experience from coursework, internships, a short period in a similar position, or a position outside the digital space
- Awareness of advertising platforms like Facebook and Google Ads
- Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- Interest in growing copywriting, creative and overall digital skills
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel
- Able to work extended hours when needed/for rapid response moments
- Eager to learn and self-educate
