The Digital Media Intern will collaborate with the Marketing Director, contribute to design concepts, and support branding and marketing initiatives.

Are you a current Graphic Design student or recent graduate looking to develop real-world creative skills while contributing to a growing brand? Black Tech Link is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graphic Design Intern eager to learn and collaborate with our team. As the Graphic Design Intern, you will support the Marketing Director with expanding the company’s brand image and assisting Black Tech Link clients with marketing needs. The ideal candidate is excited to learn and has a passion for creative problem solving with an excellent eye for detail. This is a paid internship with competitive compensation. The right candidate should be available to work a maximum of 20 hours per week and is expected to work remotely.
- Collaborating with the Marketing Director to develop creative design concepts in brand identity design, UI design, and printed marketing materials
- Adhering to brand guidelines and completing projects according to deadlines
- Listening to project directions and working independently to solve design problems
- Receiving constructive feedback from the Marketing Director to make necessary adjustments to designs
- Building company templates for both internal and external purposes
- Preparing print-ready files as needed
- Supporting the Graphic Designer with any other creative requests on an ongoing basis
Requirements
- Working towards or recently obtained a degree or certificate in Graphic Design, Illustration, UI Design, or similar creative field
- Experience with Adobe CC Software, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- A strong portfolio of graphic design work demonstrating skills in creativity and problem solving
- Basic knowledge of research, brainstorming strategies, layouts, typography, illustration, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
- The ability to clearly and diplomatically articulate design concepts and rationale to support efforts of marketing, product and sales teams
- Experience and interest in UI and website design is preferred, but not required
- Experience with Figma, Wordpress and Google Slides is preferred, but not required
- Motion graphics experience is a plus!
