Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President, Distribution, the Digital Programming Lead works closely with the Senior Director, Program Scheduling, and the Managing Editor, Integrated Initiatives & Digital Content to provide a bird's eye view of all scheduled programming across digital and social platforms. In addition, the Digital Programming Lead helps to guide and inform programming and distribution strategy across channel priorities, acting as an anchor and helping to provide continuity and alignment between linear initiatives and digital executions.
Responsibilities:

Track all programming across the brand channels and across all digital platforms;

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital programming and lead efforts to optimize performance;

Inform programming decisions based on research and data, making programming suggestions with regard to platform best practices;

Identify and plan for cross channel marketing opportunities;

Work closely with cross-functional teams including national programming, audience engagement, and marketing to ensure alignment with broader organizational initiatives;

Other relevant duties, as assigned.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess strong presentation and communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) with the ability to gain cooperation and trust among individuals and departments. Additional qualifications include:

At least 5 years of experience in digital programming, content creation and/or media production, with experience in news management with extensive knowledge and experience running a digital news operation;

Deep understanding of digital platforms (web, social media, streaming). Candidates with experience with mobile apps are preferred;

Demonstrated ability to create and execute content strategies that drive engagement.

Salary ranges are based on benchmarked nonprofit and industry related data provided by an outside consulting firm and are commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
