Whether it’s supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we’re not just here to move money— we’re here to move our global customers forward.
We’re looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that’s you and you’re ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role:

We're looking for a senior partnerships leader to own and expand Remitly's partner ecosystem in Latin America. As Director of Partnerships for Latin America you will be responsible for defining and executing the regional partnerships strategy, building and deepening relationships with banks, aggregators, and FinTechs to deliver durable growth and operational excellence.

You will report to the VP of Partnerships for Latin America and collaborate closely with senior leaders across Product, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, and Operations. You will directly lead high-impact partner relationships and strategic initiatives that shape Remitly's growth in the region.

You Will:

  • Own and drive the LAC partnerships strategy, aligned with Remitly's global objectives, balancing near-term performance with long-term expansion.

  • Manage and deepen executive-level relationships with top partners, influencing strategic direction, co-creating products, and driving growth initiatives.

  • Negotiate complex and high-value agreements, including commercial, operational, and product terms, ensuring sustainable economics and long-term alignment.

  • Represent Remitly externally with partners, regulators, and industry stakeholders, positioning the company as a trusted and innovative leader.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, treasury, and operations leaders to expand partner capabilities, enhance customer experience, and enable new services.

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities that strengthen our network, improve cost efficiency, expand reach, and unlock incremental revenue streams.

  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks across financial, regulatory, operational, and reputational dimensions, ensuring governance and compliance are embedded in partner management.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or account management, with strong exposure to financial services or payments.

  • Deep expertise in cross-border payments and consumer money transfer in Latin America, with a proven track record of driving business outcomes.

  • Experience owning executive-level partner relationships with banks, fintechs, or payment providers.

  • Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate trends and position Remitly for success.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders across commercial, product, legal, compliance, and operations.

  • Proven ability to drive complex initiatives cross-functionally without direct authority.

  • Comfort operating independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Native or Bilingual fluency in Spanish

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across the region.
