MV Digital Group is currently seeking an Account Director to join our growing team. In this role, you will be deeply involved in managing and executing complex client accounts—owning paid media strategy, campaign execution, reporting and media spend. You will work hands-on with internal media and strategy teams to plan, launch, and optimize digital campaigns, while serving as a primary contact for senior client stakeholders. Leveraging your expertise in political and advocacy-based paid media strategy and execution, you’ll strengthen our growing team and advance client business impact across public affairs, education, policy, labor, nonprofit, and corporate branding initiatives.

Compensation for this position is comprised of a base salary plus incentive compensation.  This base salary range is $90,000 - $105,000 per year.  Additional incentives bring total potential compensation to $108,000 - $125,400 per year.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as a subject matter expert with offering strategic thought leadership to build and execute strategic paid digital campaigns that are sophisticated, measurable, and actionable on key client engagements
  • Analyze clients’ digital strategies, lead strategic ideation sessions and partner with internal groups to create and deliver outcomes-focused solutions
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current events, trends and changes within the digital space, and be able to incorporate this into best practices and recommendations into digital strategies for clients.
  • Create and articulate strategic narratives for new business pitches, internal teams and existing client engagements that delivers innovative, creative work to clients by advising on: 
    • Designing strategies to move our targets and advance our client outcomes 
    • Current tactics in audience segmentation and digital targeting
    • Data analysis to drive online advertising strategy and campaign measurement
    • Driving full funnel multi-channel audience engagement across social media, online/digital, video, email, web, and mobile platforms 
  • Apply your experience to elevate strategic thinking across the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of strategists to consistently deliver strategic solutions that meet agency standards
  • Identify and execute opportunities to scale and grow existing accounts through strategic upselling and cross-platform expansion

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in advertising, marketing, business, or similar area
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital planning/strategy with progressive levels of responsibility, specifically working with advertising campaigns for political and/or advocacy clients
  • Ability to anticipate and quickly assess continually changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly
  • Proven ability to strategically plan digital initiatives that align with clients’ strategic goals, KPIs and outcomes across a varying range of digital campaign budgets
  • Expert level knowledge of paid advertising tactics, including but not limited to paid search, programmatic display, social, and video channels – In platform knowledge and campaign execution experience required
  • Experience in marketing automation, conversion rate optimization, and advance audience targeting
  • Experience translating highly technical information into presentable and digestible formats that inform campaign strategies and outcomes
  • Solid understanding and deep experience across the digital marketing industry with the ability to identify and execute emerging trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
