What You’ll Do:

The AI Compute Services Team is responsible for building and scaling the backbone infrastructure of the CoreWeave Cloud Platform. From orchestrating large-scale GPU clusters to optimizing high-throughput networking, this team delivers the performant, secure, and efficient compute foundation powering today’s most demanding AI workloads.

About the Role:

CoreWeave is seeking a Director of AI Compute Services to lead the development of our compute services, including CoreWeave Kubernetes Service, for AI/ML workloads. In this highly technical and strategic role, you will lead a world-class team to design, build, and operate infrastructure optimized for large-scale deep learning. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to ensure our platform delivers exceptional performance, scalability, and reliability for enterprise and AI lab clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and drive CoreWeave’s AI compute roadmap and infrastructure strategy.

  • Lead and grow a high-performing team of systems, infrastructure, and AI platform engineers.

  • Design and manage massive GPU clusters optimized for deep learning training and inference.

  • Drive architecture decisions on networking, storage, and scheduling technologies.

  • Implement customer-centric SLAs and robust monitoring systems for uptime and performance.

  • Collaborate with clients and partners to support complex technical deployments.

Who You Are:
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, high-performance compute, or cloud systems.

  • 5+ years in engineering leadership roles, including hiring, scaling, and mentoring teams.

  • Proven track record of building and managing large-scale distributed systems or infrastructure.

  • Expertise in GPU-based compute environments, including orchestration with Kubernetes or Slurm.

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML model training and inference workflows.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

The base pay and target total cash for this position range from $227,000 to $303,000 and $284,000 to $378,000, accordingly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
