In this role, you will serve as a key member of the leadership team responsible for elevating how we operate as an organization. You will own core business operations, financial planning, and organizational processes that will  maximize our ability to empower progressive campaigns. You will dive into the organization's most pressing challenges, moving fluidly between strategic planning and hands-on problem-solving to drive efficiency and help us grow. You will lead cross-functional initiatives that strengthen our operational foundation and maximize our impact in helping Democrats win elections. 

The ideal candidate brings operational and strategic business expertise alongside meaningful experience in political campaigns, advocacy, or social impact work. A strong analytical background or familiarity with data science work is useful to collaborate effectively with our technical teams and understand our products.

What you will do: 

Strategic planning 

  • Work with leadership to define and execute the organization’s strategic business plan, translating high-level business vision into clear, actionable approaches 
  • Set and track OKRs/KPIs aligned across internal goals – including growth, impact, revenue, utilization, and operational efficiency
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear recommendations that inform priorities and guide decision-making around business strategy
  • Support the launch and scaling of products, including go-to-market strategy and pricing models

Organizational design & operations

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies of a growing organization, implementing solutions that enable effective day-to-day activities and equip the organization to grow efficiently
  • Design and implement scalable organizational structures and staffing models that align with business growth across various scenarios 
  • Serve as bridge between leadership, operations, and research/client-facing teams

Finance & accounting 

  • Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue modeling
  • Develop financial scenarios for different pricing and business approaches
  • Monitor financial performance, costs, and cash flow, identifying areas for improvement on an ongoing basis
  • Build out go-to-market planning for new products and provide ongoing assessment of the market current products
  • Partner with client teams on revenue planning, and timely, accurate invoicing, and advise on potential new pricing schemes and marketing approaches
  • Lead regular business reviews with leadership, presenting insights and recommendations
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of work experience in management consulting, business operations, or related fields
  • Experience in political campaigns, advocacy, or social impact work
  • Experience leading strategic planning processes and translating vision into executable plans
  • Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision-making
  • Ability to assess current organizational state, identify inefficiencies and opportunities, and evaluate strategic possibilities
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis 

Bonus Points:

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree
  • Experience with survey research, political data, or voter files
  • Data science or software engineering experience or comfort working closely with technical teams

Salary Range:

$165,000 - $200,000
