Summary:

This leader will set the vision for the BioProduction Group (BPG) sales training programs globally, to ensure maximum efficiency of our selling organization. Responsible for global curriculum design, development and implementation of educational strategy and content that ensures all Sales professionals have knowledge of BPG’s workflow offerings, sales skills, technical skills, sales process skills and sophisticated sales techniques. This role will lead a dedicated team of managers and specialists passionate about training content, design/implementation, onboarding, and technical skills.

Responsibilities:

Drive and implement a training and development strategy for the global Sales team that enables the achievement of Sales targets and goals. Establish a culture of continual learning and professional development.

Lead all aspects of the development of a sales training framework to specify training requirements, assess current skills and identify gaps. Lead the build out of training curriculum- with a variety of training assets to provide training resources to all sales personnel.

Demonstrate extensive knowledge of adult learning principles and the requirements for development and implementation of appropriate training initiatives. Maintain and support high ethical integrity in the delivery and content of training and development programs.

Partner with the Sales leadership team to support the launch of new programs and initiatives through analysis, design and development of the most efficient content delivery that meets the programs objectives. Deliver training courses personally, where vital, to augment what is provided by others or other means.

Build and maintain strong collaborator relationships across the organization including Sales, Product Leadership, Marketing Leadership, and Talent Management by establishing an intimate knowledge of the current challenges and business needs of the global field sales organization, marketing, product, and other internal groups as well as industry and regional trends. Drive best practice standardization and adapt to include innovative approaches as appropriate.

Work closely with the Global Learning and Development team to ensure all training programs and materials are consistent with and supporting of: relevant organizational and statutory policies and Company ethics, guidelines and protocols.

Conduct annual review of Sales training business objectives and ensure alignment with strategic vision of the company. Review training programs for sales force efficiency through surveys and other means. Develop a training and development dashboard that demonstrates the scope, impact and success of the training organization to ensure goals are met.

Develop and maintain curriculum, assignments and course completion data through the LMS system (currently Docebo). Coordinate training venues, logistics, transport, and accommodations as required, to achieve efficient training attendance and delivery.

Develop and manage training budgets including, costs, training program delivery, materials, production, and participant travel expenses.

Develop roles/responsibilities and implement sales mentors, regional training points and “Training counsel” programs. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure skills and knowledge are being transferred to participants. Drive alignment with key stakeholders.

Partner with Talent Management on the development of Career Ladders and individual development plans to grow the internal capabilities of the global team and support succession planning needs.

Job Scope:

Distinguished and specialized subject matter authority on Global sales training skills, techniques, learning platforms and adult learning methods. Viewed as an expert in the field.

Global travel will be required. 25%

Responsible for Sales training strategy, tools and execution plans.

Create e-learning content and manage course assignments and completions in the Learning Management System including training records required for SQF and other audits.

Manages training budgets

Support and lead key learning and development programs - to include annual Global Commercial Meeting, regional territory meetings, and other targeted training sessions throughout the year and across the globe.

Education:

Bachelor degree in Business Administration/related field or equivalent experience.

Masters in Education, Training & Development (Preferred).

Experience:

10+ years related sales experience and/or training.

Demonstrated excellence in curriculum design and development.

A detailed understanding of the dynamics of adult learning.

Ability to work on various assignments simultaneously.

Ability to empower and develop others.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $160,100.00–$240,125.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
