Director, Consumer Sales Operations

Your MissionBoundless is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Consumer Sales Operations to scale up our $XX million B2C business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic operator with excellent leadership skills, a proven ability to drive impactful change within a fast-paced environment, and a passion for helping people. As the strategic driver of Boundless’ consumer sales operation, this person will manage our Philippines-based sales team, a key driver of our lead conversion strategy, to develop, test, and operationalize new techniques and enhance sales team efficiency and execution. This role requires regular international travel to the Philippines to collaborate with our teams on the ground, and may involve additional international travel as we expand our global presence.
Responsibilities:- Sales Process Optimization & Automation: Critically analyze our current sales operation and conversion funnel to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize existing processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), leveraging automation tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Conversion Channel Innovation: Strategize and experiment with bold new conversion channels and innovative sales models that have the potential to drive step-function growth in our consumer acquisition. This includes researching emerging trends, conducting pilot programs, and scaling successful initiatives.
- Customer Conversion Strategy: Develop and refine comprehensive strategies to maximize first-time customer conversion rates. Additionally, create and implement strategies focused on driving repeat business and fostering long-term engagement with our consumer client base.
- International Team Collaboration: Travel to our office in Cebu, Philippines, approximately 3-4 times per year. During these visits, you will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local sales leaders and teams.
- Shadow team members to gain a deep understanding of their workflows and challenges.
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the B2C growth team and customer support to ensure a cohesive and effective customer journey.
- New Office & Sales Operation Launches: Lead the planning and execution of launching new sales offices and operations, with a specific focus on language localization strategies in the next 1-2 years. This includes defining operational frameworks, hiring and training local teams, and ensuring seamless integration with our global sales infrastructure.
Budget Management: Manage the sales team budget, including building compensation and commission plans.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of sales operations and conversion strategies. Regularly monitor performance, analyze data, and provide insightful reports to the Head of B2C Growth and other stakeholders.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and manage the Philippines-based sales team, including both outbound and inbound teams.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the sales operations team, specifying the team size and structure as applicable. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales operations, with a significant focus on consumer sales and conversion optimization.
- Proven track record of successfully improving sales processes, implementing automation, and driving significant increases in conversion rates.
- Experience in strategizing and experimenting with new conversion channels and sales models.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective strategies for both first-time and repeat customer acquisition.
- Experience in managing and collaborating with international teams, particularly in Southeast Asia, with a strong preference for experience in the Philippines.
- Prior experience in launching new offices or sales operations, ideally with a focus on language localization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across different teams and cultures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally to the Philippines 3-4 times per year.
- Experience using AI tools or an interest in experimenting with AI applications for Sales and Sales Operations.
- Experience in HubSpot is strongly preferred.
Compensation
Compensation for this role includes both cash and equity. The starting base salary for this position is typically $138,000-179,000, OTE $224,000-290,000. Total compensation offered for this role will be dependent on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and abilities as demonstrated in the interview and hiring process.
