The Role in Brief:

Director, Internal Product Management (AI-Enabled Tools & Platforms)

EAB is seeking a Director, Product Management to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of internal digital products and workflows, with a particular focus on rapid prototyping, AI-assisted development, and high-quality user experience.

This role is ideal for a product leader who blends product judgment, design sensibility, and technical fluency: someone who is comfortable moving from problem framing to live prototypes, and from stakeholder conversations to shipped internal tools. You will help modernize how EAB builds and evolves internal platforms by applying contemporary product practices and emerging AI-enabled tooling

The tools you help build will shape how EAB operates day-to-day. This role has direct influence on productivity, decision quality, and execution speed across the organization with real latitude to experiment with new approaches to product development.

The official and internal title of this hire is expected to be Director, Product Management to align with EAB business norms.

This role may be based out of EAB’s Washington, DC office; Richmond, VA office; or open to remote work within the continental U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the product lifecycle for a portfolio of internal tools and platforms that support operations, analytics, and cross-functional execution
  • Translate complex, ambiguous needs into working solutions, balancing strategic intent with practical execution
  • Leverage AI-assisted development and live prototyping (e.g., low/no-code platforms, AI coding tools, rapid UI builders) to accelerate discovery and validation
  • Partner closely with engineering and technology teams, contributing directly to solution design and prototyping when it improves speed or clarity
  • Apply strong design and UX judgment to ensure internal tools are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with real user workflows
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to gather requirements, align on outcomes, and manage prioritization tradeoffs
  • Define success metrics (adoption, cycle-time reduction, operational efficiency, user satisfaction) and continuously iterate based on data and feedback
  • Promote modern product practices through user-centered design, rapid iteration, and outcome-based road mapping across internal teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6-8+years’ experience across product, design, or technology roles with demonstrated ability to ship complex software solutions
  • Strong product and design foundation, including experience in interaction design, UX principles, and design systems, with a proven ability to evaluate, critique, and improve user experiences
  • Technical fluency and credibility, with experience collaborating closely with engineering teams, understanding modern software development practices, and engaging directly with live code, demos, or prototypes
  • Experience working with AI-enabled tools and operating in AI-assisted development environments (e.g., Lovable, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable platforms)
  • Outcome-oriented approach, with a track record of prioritizing impact over artifacts and are disciplined about measuring success
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience explaining technical and design decisions to non-technical audiences and aligning cross-functional stakeholders

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience building or scaling internal platforms in knowledge-intensive or professional-services environments
  • Background spanning design → product → delivery, rather than a single functional lane
  • Familiarity with workflow automation, analytics dashboards, or internal CRM/operational systems
  • Commitment to embracing a continual learning environment and contributing to a dynamic and welcoming culture of fairness, authenticity, and belonging in support of EAB’s mission, values, and aspiration

If you’ve reached this section of the job description and are unsure of whether to apply, please do! At EAB, we welcome new perspectives and learn from each other’s unique experiences. We would encourage you to submit an application if this is a role you would be passionate about doing every day.

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $103,500 - $150,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Benefits:

Consistent with our belief that our employees are our most valuable resource, EAB offers a competitive and inclusive benefits package. Our benefits currently include:

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
