Position OverviewScratch is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead and scale our campaign execution, CRM-driven lifecycle marketing, B2B lead generation, and brand performance. Working in partnership with internal partners, this role is accountable for marketing-sourced partner pipeline and borrower engagement across channels.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep fluency in data-driven marketing, experimentation, attribution, and cross-functional alignment with Sales, Product, and Finance. The Director of Marketing will own outcomes and as we build on Scratch’s strong growth track record with continuous improvement to efficiency, conversion rates, and ROI of our commercial investments.
What You'll DoMarketing Strategy & Performance Ownership- Provide strategic oversight of brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution across core verticals.
- Own end-to-end marketing performance, including demand generation, lifecycle campaigns with clear accountability to pipeline contribution and revenue outcomes.
- Define and manage quantitative success measures and KRs across the funnel (e.g., MQL→Demo conversion, CAC, LTV, cost per lead) as well as attribution frameworks and the strategic resource allocation associated.
- Translate company growth goals into quarterly and annual marketing plans, with clear forecasts and performance targets.
- Oversee B2B Lead Generation strategy across inbound and outbound channels, including content, paid media, lifecycle email, events, and partnerships.
- Ensure tight alignment between lead generation, scoring, nurturing, and sales pipeline workflows, improving speed-to-lead and close rates.
- Drive continuous experimentation across segmentation, messaging, channel mix, and cadence using A/B testing and cohort analysis.
- Partner with Commercial Excellence (RevOps) to scale CRM-driven campaigns across B2B and B2C audiences, ensuring data readiness, personalization, and compliance.
People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing and high-potential team responsible for Campaign Marketing, CRM/Lifecycle, and Lead Generation.
- Collaborate with the team to establish quarterly KRs within our OKR framework with an eye towards professional development aligned to business outcomes.
- Set clear goals, briefs, success metrics, and accountability frameworks for external agency partners.
- Support the team within Scratch’s culture of Owning Outcomes, Getting it Right over Being Right and Driving Innovation with an Eye towards Efficiency.
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in high-growth, data-driven marketing, demand generation, or growth roles, ideally in B2B or B2B2C environments.
- Proven people leadership experience, including managing senior individual contributors.
- Demonstrated success owning pipeline, revenue targets, and marketing ROI.
- Deep experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Strong analytical orientation, with hands-on experience in attribution, testing, and performance analytics (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, GA).
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Finance, and external agencies.
- Background in FinTech, HealthTech, Animal Health, or regulated industries preferred.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $155,000 - $165,000 (OTE $185,000 - $200,000)
