What You'll Do

As our first Director of Talent, you’ll own and scale our talent acquisition strategy for this next phase of growth. In a true player/coach role, you’ll guide a seasoned recruiting team while driving critical searches yourself, partnering closely with our CEO and CHRO to build and execute hiring strategies that fuel our business objectives.

  • Build and execute talent acquisition strategies for all functional areas of the business, including specialized AI/ML roles
  • Establish and define the recruiting metrics and scalable processes that drive efficiency, elevate hiring performance, and provide the insights needed for smarter, strategic decisions
  • Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO, CHRO, and finance leader on workforce planning, capacity planning, compensation strategy, and talent market insights
  • Design and implement scalable recruiting operations, tools, and systems - from standardized interview processes to candidate experience programs - while equipping hiring managers and recruiters with the training and enablement they need to succeed
  • Lead employer branding efforts to attract top AI/ML talent by highlighting our mission-driven culture and opportunity to reshape the legal industry through AI innovation
Who We're Looking For

Required:

  • 8+ years in talent acquisition with 4+ years leading recruiting teams through scaling phases in growth-stage companies
  • Proven track record in building talent teams and strategies with the ability to anticipate future needs and proactively plan for organizational growth
  • Strong foundation in data-driven decision-making to guide executive decisions
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills with the ability to influence and build credibility across all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining extremely high talent bars while meeting aggressive hiring goals in fast-paced environments
  • Experience in highly technical organizations with an understanding of complex AI/ML talent landscapes and quality standards

Preferred:

  • Hands-on technical recruiting, particularly for AI/ML, engineering, and product roles in fast-paced technical environments
  • Experience with employer branding and talent marketing initiatives
  • Series B+ startup experience with demonstrated success through growth phases
  • Familiar and curious about AI-native talent tools

Compensation 

The base salary range for this position in the selected region is $180,000-$260,000 annually plus company equity. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
