The Director of Origination is a member of the Commercial Team and supports our work in marketing our Hybrid and Storage portfolio.    

Responsibilities:  

  • Engage directly with prospective and existing customers, supporting introductory meetings, shaping discussions around project fit and buyer needs, and managing ongoing follow-ups;
  • Lead development of RFP responses and commercial proposals, coordinating internal inputs and translating project attributes into clear, customer-focused value propositions;
  • Support transaction structuring and execution, contributing views on pricing, risk allocation, credit terms, and contract mechanics through execution;
  • Help maintain and advance the origination pipeline, tracking customer opportunities, managing marketing systems, and supporting prioritization and reporting for senior leadership;
  • Track market, regulatory, and competitive dynamics, translating insights into recommendations for customer outreach, transaction strategy, and project siting;
  • Other duties as assigned or required. 

Key Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field required;
  • 5+ years of experience working in a commercial capacity within the energy industry;
  • Working knowledge of US power markets; to include ISO, RTO, and bilateral energy markets and their fundamentals;
  • MS Excel and PowerPoint skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment;
  • Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and a questioning attitude. 

Compensation and Location: 

Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience.
Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the overall success of the business.

Location: Hybrid (USA)Ability to work in the United States is a requirement. Preference is given to candidates located in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate; Remote will be considered on a case by case basis. 
Travel: 20%.
