We are seeking an Engineering Infrastructure Platform Director who is passionate about Platform Engineering and fostering collaboration within our cross functional squads. 

In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our cloud/Kubernetes native infrastructure platform to meet the unique needs of our teams. You will work closely with our product manager and cross-functional squads to understand their requirements, provide leadership guidance, and ensure tactical/strategic execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and core values behavior in striving for a positive impact to customers (our developers) and the business in all deliverables. 
  • Lead a team of engineers to optimize our engineering infrastructure platform. 
  • Partner with our Product Manager and collaborate with engineering leaders and teams to understand their workflows, challenges, and wants. 
  • Implement solutions that enhance the platform through common deployment processes and strategic foresight. 
  • Work closely with platform engineers to design and deploy scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions. 
  • Champion best practices and efficiency for infrastructure management, automation, and monitoring through continuous integration and development processes. 
  • Involved in strategic plans to accomplish technical, as well as business goals. 
  • Ensure team is current on technical knowledge and tools through active development planning and coaching. 
  • Develop, track, and report key implementation metrics to drive a qualitative experience. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Platform Engineering, 8+ years’ experience leading other engineers. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across many teams. 
  • Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform as well as container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. 
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing principles and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for driving continuous improvement within a micro service architecture working through agile or similar development methodologies. 

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $160,600 -- $347,300 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location. 

CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
