This role will report into our IT Program Management Office and oversee the execution of internal IT projects and programs, ensuring effective delivery while adhering to BAE Systems LifeCycle Management best practices. The leader will also lead PMO operational excellence activities, overseeing business operations and facilitating cross-functional communication and reporting within the PMO. As a Director within the PMO team, you will play a critical role in leading and managing project managers and teams, while driving project delivery excellence, and fostering a culture of ownership and transparency across boundaries.

Bachelor's Degree. Project Management Professional (PMP) 12+ years of relevant work experience. Proven track record of delivering projects and programs.
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing project managers and teams.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and inform decisions.
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
15+ years relevant management experience preferred.
IT Service management, product management, hybrid project management methodologies, SDLC, Agile and ITIL certification, ServiceNow SPM
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $153377 - $260743
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Project Manager Development and Leadership:
- Build and mature project managers' capabilities through targeted coaching, mentorship, and development in execution excellence and leadership.
- Coach team members across IT to drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones.
PMO Operations Management:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the PMO, ensuring effective coordination and communication across teams.
- Acts as a liaison between leadership and teams to ensure business objectives are prioritized and executed.
- Supports senior leadership with decision-making, meeting preparation, and special initiatives.
- Identifies bottlenecks and streamlines workflows to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain PMO processes, procedures, and tools to ensure effective project delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration across IT Operations teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Ensure effective information flow and issue escalation across teams and levels of management.
Agile Transformation and Innovation:
- Support the adoption of Agile practices across IT Operations product teams, coaching program and delivery teams on applying Agile principles within a structured, hybrid program management environment.
- Guide teams in balancing Agile ways of working with governance, planning, and delivery commitments.
Governance and Oversight:
- Provide oversight and support to IT Operations teams to ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery across all initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop plans to address them.
Leadership and Performance:
- Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and results-driven performance across IT Operations teams.
- Develop and implement performance metrics and dashboards to measure PMO operations effectiveness.
