The Director of Procurement & Sourcing is a critical leadership role that bridges operations, product development, and marketing. Reporting to the COO, this individual will lead sourcing and procurement for materials, packaging, finished goods, and vendor relationships across all Yondr business segments.
This role owns both tactical execution and strategic vendor management — from negotiating contracts and managing costs to ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and customs/import oversight. They will partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to bring new products to life and to ensure operational excellence at every stage of the sourcing lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing & Procurement LeadershipSource and secure raw materials, fabrics, textiles, packaging, and finished goods in line with evolving product and business needs
Build and maintain a reliable vendor network spanning manufacturing partners, packaging suppliers, and third-party providers
Lead supplier selection, onboarding, contract execution, and performance evaluation
Negotiate pricing, lead times, service-level agreements (SLAs), and terms to optimize costs and mitigate risk
Partner with Product and Marketing to support early-stage product development with material and sample sourcing
Serve as the internal point person for packaging and production R&D initiatives
Collaborate with Product to support new product introductions, prototypes, and sample programs
Partner with Supply Chain to ensure alignment of production timelines, logistics, and vendor capabilities
Coordinate with Marketing to plan for and source promotional items, event materials, and brand-aligned packaging solutions
Partner with Finance to support sourcing and negotiations of vendor contracts for other goods and services, such as IT/software services, laptops, office supplies, etc.
Partner with Supply Chain on import/export documentation, customs compliance, and tariff classification strategies
Monitor global trade regulations and duties to proactively mitigate landed cost risks
Ensure suppliers meet internal and external quality, regulatory, and environmental standards
Manage vendor scorecards and periodic reviews to enforce compliance with contracts and SLAs
Build scalable sourcing and procurement processes, including PO workflows and tracking systems
Implement reporting and KPI dashboards to monitor supplier performance, cost savings, and risk areas
Partner with Finance to support budgeting, cost forecasting, and inventory optimization
10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles — with direct experience managing global suppliers and sourcing multiple types of raw materials
Strong background in sourcing materials for product development — particularly textiles, packaging, or electronics
Proven ability to work in collaborative environment as an effective partner across teams
Proven success negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and reducing costs without compromising quality
Understanding of international trade, tariffs, and customs regulations
Excellent analytical skills, with ability to clearly summarise financial impacts of sourcing options and contract terms.
Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work across departments and geographies
Experience in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with a hands-on, solutions-first approach
Consumer product goods (CPG), fashion/apparel, or packaging sourcing experience
Familiarity with 3PL’s, Customs regulations, ERP, POs, and sourcing tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Coupa)
Knowledge of sustainability best practices in sourcing and packaging
Strong Excel and reporting skills; data-driven mindset
