As Director of Product Marketing, you will bridge customer needs with product offerings, lead product launches, enhance sales enablement, and develop marketing content in the Identity Security space.

Description

You’re already in the Identity Security space or an adjacent space in product marketing. You’re used to (and addicted to) the intensity and space of startup life. You can go deep on the product and put yourself in the customer’s shoes. You go toe-to-toe with Sales Engineers when it comes to demos. You’re well-versed in using AI tooling but not overly reliant on it (meaning not everything you write feels like ChatGPT). You’re resilient and good at prioritizing.

What You’ll Do:

As a Director, Product Marketing at Linx, you’ll bridge the needs of security, IT, and compliance teams with our product, helping them master Identity Security and love using Linx. You’ll partner with product, sales, customer success and demand generation to launch new products and features and position Linx as the leader in Identity space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer by understanding their needs and challenges through interviews, market research, competitive analysis, and engagement with sales teams.
  • Strategic Messaging: Develop compelling positioning and messaging frameworks for products, personas, and features, collaborating closely with product and sales to address specific needs. Craft tailored messaging for demand generation, SDR, sales, and channel partners.
  • Sales Enablement: Empower the entire organization with relevant product and customer knowledge. Create essential sales collateral, including playbooks, sales plays, and pitch decks.
  • Product Launch Management: Lead and execute product launch strategies, partnering with product management, demand generation, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Market Education: Collaborate with demand generation on content strategies to achieve product goals, producing collateral such as blogs, whitepapers, webpages, demos, and videos.
Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • 4+ years experience in cybersecurity product marketing, ideally in Identity (IGA, PAM, IAM) or an adjacent space like SaaS Security or asset management.
  • Strong writer and public speaker who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to create stand-out marketing content and sales enablement.
  • Skilled project manager who can keep stakeholders informed and projects on track.
  • Technical curiosity and an aptitude for learning. You understand the identity ecosystem and practices.
  • You represent the voice-of-the-customer and can distill actionable product roadmap recommendations from customer feedback, market research, and competitive analysis.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
