Technical Program Managers (TPMs) play a meaningful role at Salesforce in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our Technology, Marketing & Products organizations. TPMs are owning programs from beginning to end, ensuring a better workflow and more effective communication. They work closely with executives and key company partners to drive critical programs and activities across the company.
 

As a Director of Technical Program Management for Marketing Technology Websites & Platforms you will drive programs that build Agent-first Websites, Platforms and Events that not only drive the business of the company, but also serve as outstanding showcases of what is possible with Salesforce products. This is a high visibility role working on objectives critical to our CMO and CDO while partnering closely with the teams developing our products.. This role calls for extraordinary executive presence and experience talking with large sets of partners including at the C suite level!


Your Impact

Lead programs by aligning scope, release planning, and team vision with business goals. Craft program structure and secure cross-functional alignment. Apply Agile, analytical, and technical skills to drive teams through the software engineering process. Conduct Steering Committee meetings with key partners to make decisions, remove obstacles, and address program issues. Ensure business goals are met and drive the strategic vision of each program.

Develop strong partnerships with key functional team members to focus on business goals and be a trusted partner for executive management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Marketing, Scrum Leads, UX, CX) to address tactical release issues, dependencies, team status, production issues, metrics review, and achievements.

Lead program/feature dependencies across multiple teams, functions, divisions, and partners. Anticipate and remove obstacles with vitality to ensure project teams deliver on goals. Provide monthly program reviews and updates at sprint reviews, focusing on project goals, risks, and critical issues.Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and learning. Act as a catalyst within the organization to advance the Technology, Marketing & Products strategy globally and drive organizational change. Build clarity from uncertainty!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Management or related fields 

  • 10+ years of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company

  • 7+ years of leading SaaS product development programs with a proven understanding of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, meticulous work

  • Deep experience with the software development lifecycle and the ability to adapt and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies

  • Validated ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and team members.

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus in a cross-functional, matrix management environment

  • Experience with Portfolio Management

  • Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.

  • Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and communication skills

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $185,500 to $268,900.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $202,700 to $293,900.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
