About Boundless Immigration

We’re a team of immigrants and experts who have struggled with our own journeys through the complex, high-stakes U.S. immigration system. That is why we are building deeply customer-centric products and experiences to become the default trusted partner for all families and businesses. We are the largest player in the family immigration industry, and a high-growth challenger serving corporate clients. Across both consumer and business segments, we’ve aided over 100,000 individuals and 1,000 businesses to successfully navigate the convoluted immigration process.

We're backed by influential venture investors around the country, including Foundry Group (led by Brad Feld), Trilogy Equity Partners, Pioneer Square Labs, Emerson Collective (Laurene Powell Jobs’ foundation), Two Sigma Ventures, and Jerry Yang.

Today, we are a dynamic growth-stage technology company with 350+ employees across the U.S. and Philippines. We are growing both organically and through strategic acquisitions. We are well-capitalized and on our way to becoming the largest immigration company in the world and first trusted brand in the industry.

What You Will Do

Boundless is searching for a leader to be the founding member of our Strategic Finance team.

Our Strategic Finance team will own and evolve our financial plan, maintaining all components of our rolling 12-month and long-range financial plan. They will own the updating and interpretation of all month-end financial analysis, reporting out to our leadership team, board members, investors, and employees. Most importantly, they will partner with our execution leads (including product, operations, sales, marketing, and corp dev) to improve the quality of our decision-making, improve capital efficiency, and reach for upside.

Our Director of Strategic Finance will run a lean team. In 2025, they will implement tools to automate business-as-usual work to free up time for strategic projects, including designing pricing and default rate optimizations, M&A financial modeling, and ad hoc ROI analysis to help us optimize and accelerate our most promising growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic initiatives: Surface and champion initiatives to achieve our financial goals (e.g. pricing, gross margin optimizations, synergy achievement, vendor negotiations, org structure optimization, changes in resource allocation, changes to our KPIs). Support other team members’ initiatives with pro forma analysis, storytelling and self-service tools
  • Month-end analysis: Own all month-end financial analysis
  • Financial communications: Prepare all leadership, investor, and employee communications about financial results. Ensure succinct, consistent, and compelling messaging, tailoring messaging for different audiences. Facilitate our monthly leadership discussion about financial results
  • Financial modeling: Own and evolve our financial plans including revenue build, sales and marketing budget, gross margin, headcount plan, working capital build for rolling 12-month forecasts, our annual budget, and long-range plan
  • M&A financial diligence and planning: Work closely with our corporate development team on financial due diligence for acquisition targets; build and maintain M&A merger models; update leaders and stakeholders on synergy achievement
  • Automation: implement SaaS tools and new processes to drive down time to deliver high-quality month-end financial analysis and commentary

Who You Are

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of experience delivering business impact in strategic roles, including 2+ years in an analytical role with a structured training program (e.g. audit, consulting, investment banking or corporate FP&A). Experience working on the direct investments team at a private equity or venture capital firm will make candidates especially qualified but is not required for this role. Candidates should also have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/related field, MBA, or CFA. They will be financial modeling experts with a strong grasp of GAAP concepts, economic concepts, and SaaS benchmarks.

We are looking for candidates who exhibit a high degree of ownership and want to continue raising our quality bar. They should be strategic, curious, and analytical, but also collaborative; cross-functional partnership and communication with senior leaders is crucial to success in this role. They will be able to flex between making strategic recommendations and building the models and analyses to guide day-to-day decision-making. Finally, they will be excited to grow and build at a dynamic, mission-driven, and scaling company that operates across multiple products, segments, and continents.

Our CFO and finance team leads are based in Seattle, work Pacific Time Zone hours, and work from our office in downtown Seattle 4 days/week.
