RP Lighting & Fans and Millennium Lighting is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an Eastern Regional Sales Manager.

This is a remote role that will support the entire Eastern Region (Eastern coastline from Maine to Florida). Our ideal candidate must be in the Eastern time zone, preferably within easy commuting distance of locations in Georgia and Florida.

Ideal candidate will have Commercial and Residential lighting experience and used to managing independent rep agencies. Looking for a self-starter with a growth mindset who is looking to join a fast paced growing lighting team.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive independent manufacturers’ representatives to budget and grow wholesale customers
  • Develop account planning with major customers using customer focused selling skills, prospecting and lead qualification, and identification of decision making and customer buying criteria
  • Lead budget and business planning for the East Region
  • Participate with the corporate sales team in development of sales strategy to meet assigned goals and objectives
  • Creatively approach representatives, customers, and markets to improve market share for both RP and Millennium
  • Supervise sales of assigned territory and representatives to ensure sales goals are achieved
  • Visit customers and industry trade shows on a regular basis and document meetings
  • Communicate product trends, stay actively informed of sales activities of competitors’ product offerings, and participate in new product implementation
  • Cross and quote competitive bills of material; handle pricing and gross margin in assigned region within corporate guidelines
  • Assist customer service in providing information, post-sales support, and technical expertise to customers and representatives
  • Provide various sales and management reports as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a regional management role with rep management experience is required
  • Experience in the Commercial and Residential lighting industry is Key
  • Experience leading and selling in the Multi-Family / Multi-Tennant building industry is helpful
  • Experience in the Residential Showroom Industry is helpful
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or combined education and experience equivalent
  • Prior experience working with independent customers, wholesalers, manufactures across multi-product categories is a plus
  • Must be comfortable with market disruption and adaptable to constructive change
  • Ability to think differently while motivating and mentoring a team of independent manufacturer's representatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc

Pay Range:

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$7,949.70 - $17,325.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
