Title: Ecommerce Marketing Manager

Payroll Title: Ecommerce Marketing Manager

Status: Full-Time Exempt

Reports to: VP, Education Operations

Location: Remote – Anywhere in the contiguous United States

Compensation: Anticipated compensation for this position is $75-80k plus up to an 8% variable pay component*.


Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial E-commerce Marketing Manager with a strong focus on Shopify to join our team. This role is perfect for a tech-savvy marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving online sales and customer engagement.

 

Essential Job Functions

Marketing E-commerce Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive email, SMS, and digital marketing strategies to increase customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Analyze campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments to maximize ROI. Work closely with design, product, and operations teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging. Coordinate with external vendors or agencies as needed for campaign execution.
  • Stay up to date with the latest e-commerce and digital marketing trends, tools, and strategies, including Generative AI, Machine Learning Analytics, and Conversational Agents
  • Experiment with new marketing tactics and tools to attract customers and close sales.
  • Capture and analyze customer information to develop personalized marketing campaigns.
  • Leverage data to create customer segments and tailor marketing strategies to different audience groups.

Sales Growth:

  • Drive traffic through targeted marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as traffic, sales, conversion rates, and customer behavior.

Shopify Store and Operations Optimization:

  • Continuously improve the online store and underlying operations to enhance user experience, optimize conversion rates, and increase average order value.
  • Implement strategies to recommend products, highlight first-time buyer promotions, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 3+ years in e-commerce marketing


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Shopify-specific experience
  • Proven track record in email and SMS marketing, including automation, segmentation, and performance tracking.
  • Comfortable with Shopify apps, integrations, and basic store customizations. Familiarity with tools like Klaviyo, Postscript, or similar platforms. Willingness to explore, learn, and operationalize emerging digital technologies including various AI solutions.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong ability to craft compelling campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Self-starter with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, constantly learning and experimenting with new tactics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with teams.
