Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a USAF E-7 Experienced Electrical Technical Designer - in support of the USAF E-7A program. This position is located in Tukwila, WA.

Objectives of the USAF E-7 program are to build and deliver two rapid prototype E-7 aircraft and associated Airborne Mission Segment and Mission Support Segment lab infrastructure include upgrade of major airborne and ground-based systems. The US-based team is managed by Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C), a unit of Boeing Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B), the E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable and reliable command-and-control system. A unit of The Boeing Company, BDS is one of the world's largest defense, space and security businesses specializing in innovative and capabilities-driven customer solutions, and the world's largest and most versatile producer of military aircraft and commercial/civil/government space systems.

Specific tasks would be to:

  • Model and draft Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) drawings

  • Utilize CATIA and ENOVIA for primary design tools

  • Coordinate changes within SIL

  • Provide ship side support for operations team

  • Create, develop and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies

  • Support engineering system design and functionality validation activities

  • Perform electrical and electronic modifications to wiring and tactical hardware as well as hardware replacement and maintenance held within un-configured SILs

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience in using ENOVIA / CATIA

  • 3 years of experience working in an engineering role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance

  • Ability to perform minor electrical and electronic modifications

  • Proactive communication skillset

Typical Education/Experience:

AA degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

$70,550 - $95,450
