Lead electrical engineering and construction projects across Micron’s North Asia facilities in Japan, Taiwan, and China. You will represent our facility build standards, manage construction projects, and align operational and maintenance guidelines across all manufacturing sites in your region. Working closely with the Global Facilities Central Engineering Team, Construction Team, Line Planning Team, and Operation&Maintenance Team, you will ensure that every project meets our stringent quality and reliability metrics.
This is also an opportunity to lead using AI for improvement of daily work efficiency and effectiveness by using generative AI, AI assistant and other AI tools.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Project Management:
- Build and construct regional greenfield projects, ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Offer engineering assistance for site projects, including technology transfers and sustainability initiatives.
- Review and approve site capacity expansions and sustainability capital expenditures (capex).
- Make data-informed decisions on Facilities Reliability Improvement project capex.
Reliability:
- Support site system improvement projects, including System Reliability Improvements and Equipment End-of-Life (EOL) replacements.
- Coordinate regional efforts to align strategic programs and share lessons learned to influence global standards.
- Provide engineering assistance for major Site Incident Prevention Program (SIPP) reviews.
Communication:
- Act as the sole liaison for regional sites and the Global Facilities Central teams.
- Ensure alignment on metrics reporting and project updates.
Engineering, O&M, AI and Others:
- Lead a global cross-functional team that builds projects, construction, and operational excellence.
- Support all sites, including on-site presence for critical construction projects and electrical failures.
- Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation and ongoing support for electrical systems.
- Foster continuous improvement in utility quality through variation reduction methods.
- Align common methodologies across the network, including SPC, SIPP, MOC (Management Of Change), and 8D problem-solving.
- AI proficiency or AI-enabled ways of working required to support achieving successful construction project execution and reliable facilities systems operation.
- Leverage AI tools and AI-assisted technologies to enhance productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency in daily work.
- Utilize AI-supported solutions to enhance day-to-day tasks and workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Proven analytical and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills with both internal and external groups.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities in multi-functional and multicultural environments.
