Homestead Studio

Homestead Studio is a digital growth marketing agency specializing in scaling eCommerce brands through performance-driven email, SMS, and paid creative. We combine strategy, design, and data to help DTC brands build long-term customer value.

We are looking for an Email Designer who understands that great design is not decoration – it’s communication, hierarchy, and conversion. We value candidates who think conceptually, challenge briefs thoughtfully, and contribute to raising the creative standard across the team.

You’ll work closely with the Director of Design and Email Strategists to concept, design, and iterate high-performing email campaigns across multiple DTC brands.

The Role

As an Email Designer at Homestead, you will:

  • Design performance-driven email campaigns and automated flows grounded in clear conversion hierarchy
  • Translate strategic campaign concepts into compelling visual narratives
  • Collaborate with copywriters and strategists to elevate ideas beyond execution
  • Contribute to A/B testing strategy and iterate based on performance insights
  • Build scalable, modular email systems inside Figma
  • Maintain strong file hygiene, naming conventions, and asset organization
  • Ensure designs meet deliverability, responsiveness, and accessibility best practices
  • Participate in structured internal review loops and implement feedback efficiently
  • Contribute to internal creative initiatives such as template development, training materials, case studies, and agency-wide design improvements
  • Contribute to client onboardings and brand system setup

This role requires both creative thinking and operational discipline.

Who You Are

You’re not just a designer, you’re a problem solver.

  • You understand how design influences behavior and conversion.
  • You think concept-first, not template-first.
  • You can manage multiple brands and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • You welcome feedback and use it to sharpen your work.
  • You’re comfortable defending your decisions with rationale.
  • You care about systems, organization, and clean execution.

You thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy improving how things work — not just what they look like.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years designing high-volume email campaigns for DTC brands
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating performance-driven creative
  • Proficiency in Figma (required) and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with email platforms such as Klaviyo
  • Strong understanding of conversion hierarchy, email best practices, and mobile-first design
  • Experience contributing to A/B testing and interpreting performance data
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills

Bonus:

  • Experience working in agency environments
  • Exposure to paid social creative systems
  • Experience with design accessibility (ADA & WCAG compliance)
Benefits
  • Health, Dental & Vision (fully covered by Homestead) + 401K matching available
  • 15 Days PTO (prorated based on start date), plus 11+ paid holidays
  • Wellness credit benefits
  • Diverse and forward-thinking environment
  • Exciting career growth opportunities
  • A company culture that values freedom, responsibility, and impact-driven work
Additional Information
This is a fully remote role. Candidates must be able to work standard business hours (9:00am–5:00pm) in ET, CT, MT, or PT time zones.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
