About the Role
We’re looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to support the day-to-day execution of our email marketing program. This is a hands-on role focused on building, testing, and deploying email campaigns and lifecycle sends. You will not be responsible for channel strategy, but you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality emails accurately, on time, and in line with brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
What you’ll do
- Build and deploy email campaigns from provided briefs, templates, and copy, including promotional, newsletter, and transactional sends.
- Format and QA email content (layout, links, personalization, dynamic content, accessibility basics) to ensure a clean experience across devices and inboxes.
- Set up audiences/segments based on the provided criteria and confirm that the counts align with expectations.
- Execute A/B tests (subject lines, preview text, creative variations) and document results.
- Manage campaign checklists and approvals, ensuring deadlines are met, and launches run smoothly.
- Troubleshoot basic ESP issues (rendering, broken links, tracking parameters, audience mismatches) and escalate when needed.
- Maintain email templates and modules, working with existing design systems and updating components as directed.
- Apply tracking/UTM standards and confirm analytics are firing correctly.
- Support list hygiene and deliverability best practices (unsubscribe compliance, suppression management) following team guidelines.
- Keep documentation current, including processes, naming conventions, and send logs.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL).
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive benchmarks, and emerging email technologies.
Success looks like
- Emails launch on time with minimal QA issues.
- Templates and modules stay consistent and on brand.
- Accurate audience setup and tracking across campaigns.
- Organized documentation and smooth cross-team coordination.
- Steady improvement in execution speed and quality over time.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with lifecycle concepts (welcome, nurture, post-purchase, winback) even if not leading strategy.
- Experience with basic segmentation logic and dynamic content.
- Exposure to accessibility or deliverability best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of proven experience in email marketing, CRM, or lifecycle marketing.
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Marketo).
- Strong understanding of deliverability, segmentation, automation, and personalization best practices.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a knack for persuasive, customer-focused messaging.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using A/B testing and email analytics tools.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email is a plus.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
- Health, dental, and vision benefits.
- Remote First Work Environment.
- Professional development opportunities.
- A collaborative and innovative team culture.
