Responsibilities
- Capture requirements and propose electrical and software solutions that meet customer needs.
- Develop robust, innovative, and scalable embedded software that balances features, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and design teams to ensure deliverable, patentable solutions.
- Clearly communicate engineering timelines and scope of work, proactively identifying and resolving risks, and highlighting resource needs to meet goals.
- Guide test development to ensure reliability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Clearly communicate and respond to opinions and perspectives from teammates.
- Demonstrably data-driven with experience in experimentation and analytics.
- Reliably delivers on commitments within an agile team.
- Solutions-oriented and applies resourceful and creative problem-solving.
- Customer-centric engineer with an ability to understand needs and identify problems worth solving.
Qualifications
- BS in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related degrees required. MS preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in embedded system design, including deployment of a released-to-market product.
- Experience with microcontroller development, RTOS (Zephyr a bonus), C, Python, signal processing, wireless communication protocols, sensor, and electromechanical development.
- Knowledge and experience with Altium, Schematic capture, PCB stack, layout, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and validation is preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 15% of the time.
- Competitive salary starting at $95,000, with potential up to 45% higher based on experience and skills.
