How You Will Contribute:

  • Serve as the supervisor/mentor to teammates, building their skills as they grow into increasing roles of responsibility and technical expertise.
  • Communicate closely with EBTech teams and customer contacts, as requested, throughout the implementation so that all parties understand tasks, deadlines and items that put timelines at risk if delays occur.
  • Raise appropriate issues to the project manager and/or Director of Operations to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with EBTech teammates and customer contacts through efficient, quality execution of projects and effective communication.
  • Apply sound judgement to the execution of business processes, protocols and quality standards in the development and deployment of solutions, in low and moderate complex situations.
  • Represent EBTech in a professional manner in every interaction with outside parties.
  • Meet regularly with project manager to ensure projects are on track.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all individual and assigned team tasks.
  • Teach team members all aspects of successful software deployment to increase overall team competency and provide opportunities for advancement.
  • Continually provide review and feedback to team members.

Skills and Experience to be Successful:

  • 4-8 years of applicable professional experience, with 3-5 years of applicable software industry experience
  • Intermediate understanding of employee benefits programs and implementation requirements.
  • Intermediate knowledge of benefits administration software implementation, ideally obtained through a service provider or mid to large market reseller
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
