The Production System Training (PST) organization is currently seeking Employee Development Specialists to join their group in Auburn, WA. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in manufacturing skills and machining who has a passion for training the next generation of skilled workers. This position supports our internal New Hire Onboarding program and foundational skills instruction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

- Ability to apply knowledge of instructional skills (e.g. preparation, delivery, summary, assess student progress, remediation, motivation, engagement, etc.) to safely lead learners and manage classroom/lab environments in a professional manner in compliance with company policies
- Using a variety of media, clearly conveys information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the content.
- Identifies business specific learning objectives and adapts curriculum content and delivery methods
- Identifies potential issues that impact performance and recommends development of improvement recommendations
- Able to assess requirements and coordinate with cross-functional team members to ensure commitments are met, customers are supported and business goals are achieved
- Analyze, validate, optimize and coordinate training requests for new hire, recall, and transfer employees
- Ability to adapt and address challenging training/learning situations on-the-fly, in order to provide a value-added learning experience for students.
- Ability to support varying shifts and locations across the region based on training demand
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, ability to present complex information in a clear and simple way
- Experience teaching peers in a non-classroom setting
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- 5+ years experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
- Willing to coach learners/students at all levels
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Fabrication and assembly process knowledge (e.g. seal, bond and ground, mechanical assembly, etc.)
- Aircraft mechanical and inspection background
- Background in Quality control, testing and assurance
- Background in mechanical assembly and surface preparation (hand finishing, shot peen, etc.)
- Familiar with foundational skills and systems like PSDS, CMES, REDARS, Drawings, Precision Measuring Tools
- Experience with designing/developing course content and instructional materials
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to organize, prioritize and pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy
