  • Serve as a key advisor to leaders at all levels, providing expert guidance on performance management, workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and organization-wide ER practices.
     

  • Coach leaders on communication strategies, feedback delivery, documentation expectations, and corrective action processes that promote accountability, transparency, and trust.
     

  • Partner closely with HR leadership to develop proactive, business-aligned solutions that improve team dynamics, engagement, productivity, and retention.
     

  • Lead the assessment, management, and resolution of complex and high-risk employee relations cases (Tier 3–4), ensuring timely, objective, and legally compliant outcomes.
     

  • Conduct thorough investigations of policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other sensitive matters, maintaining strict confidentiality and detailed documentation.
     

  • Review and evaluate termination recommendations; guide leaders on appropriate next steps.
     

  • Provide ongoing case consultation to the Director, People Operations to ensure alignment on risk mitigation strategies.
     

  • Partner with leaders to design and implement effective performance improvement plans (PIPs), corrective actions, and terminations, ensuring adherence to progressive discipline standards.
     

  • Advise on the development and delivery of clear, actionable feedback that drives performance improvement while protecting the organization from unnecessary risk.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on employment law, regulatory requirements, and internal policies across multiple provinces/states.
     

  • Partner with Legal, HRBPs, and HR leadership to ensure consistent policy interpretation and application.
     

  • Participate in policy development, review, and refinement to strengthen compliance, consistency, and organizational integrity.
     

  • Proactively identify potential areas of risk and recommend preventative ER strategies.
     

  • Analyze ER data and trends to identify patterns, emerging risks, and systemic issues.
     

  • Present insights and recommendations to HR and business leadership to drive informed decisions and process improvements.
     

  • Support ongoing enhancements to ER workflows, case management systems, and best practices.
     

  • Develop and deliver training for leaders and HR partners on investigation best practices, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace conduct expectations.
     

  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving leadership capability, employee experience, and organizational culture.
     

  • Partner with HRBPs, Legal, Operations, Sales, and other internal stakeholders to ensure aligned, holistic support for business needs.
     

  • Foster strong relationships and maintain a high level of trust, professionalism, and consistency across all interactions.
     

Performs other related duties as assigned in support of Employee Relations and organizational priorities.
