About the Role:

CrowdStrike seeks an experienced Employment Tax Manager to oversee payroll tax compliance across the Americas. This role leads tax reporting, compliance, and payroll audit processes for US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil operations.

What You'll Do:

US Tax Operations:

  • Manage federal/state tax filings (941, 940, W-2, etc)

  • Oversee multi-state compliance and registrations

  • Review and resolve tax agency notices

  • Handle SUI administration and ensure correct application in payroll

  • Manage and audit equity compensation tax reporting (RSU, PSU, ESPP)

  • Respond to payroll tax inquiries from employees and management

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to develop the team's expertise in U.S. payroll tax regulations.

Canadian Tax Operations:

  • Oversee T4/T4A filings and reconciliations

  • Manage CPP/QPP, EI, and provincial tax compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal/provincial standards

International Responsibilities:

  • Direct tax compliance for Mexico and Brazil operations

  • Manage cross-border tax implications and reporting

  • Oversee vendor relationships for international tax filing

  • Monitor legislative changes across jurisdictions

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience, including:

  • Minimum 5 years US multi-state payroll tax

  • Minimum 2 years Canadian payroll tax

  • At least 2 years managing teams

  • International tax exposure

  • Professional certification (CPP, PCP, or equivalent)

  • Experience with ADP GlobalView

  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

  • Cross-border taxation experience

  • Big 4 accounting firm experience

  • Spanish/Portuguese language skills

  • Experience with Canadian payroll software

  • International payroll platform knowledge

  • Mexican/Brazilian payroll tax experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years Canadian payroll tax

  • Cross-border taxation experience

  • Big 4 accounting firm experience

Technical Skills:

  • Multi-state tax sourcing expertise

  • Equity compensation tax knowledge

  • CRA filing systems proficiency

  • International payroll systems experience

Leadership Qualities:

  • Strong project management abilities

  • Experience leading remote teams

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $100,000 - $170,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.

CrowdStrike Canada ULC is committed to equal pay for equal work in its compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in Canada is $115,000 - $170,000 CAD per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. This is Canadian-based employment, and it is expected that all employees maintain legal entitlement to work in Canada.
