About Cartesian
Cartesian is a specialist consulting firm with over 35 years of experience serving the global telecommunications, media, and technology (TMT) sectors. We partner with clients worldwide to design and implement practical strategies, data-driven transformations, and technology solutions that drive growth and operational efficiency. Our expertise spans analytics, strategy, technical services, content security, and management consulting.

Role Overview
Cartesian is seeking a Senior Enterprise Systems Analyst to lead business engagements and technical process architecture efforts supporting a Tier 1 Telecommunications provider’s large-scale digital transformation. This role is responsible for driving the definition, governance, and delivery of end-to-end BPMN process architecture and artifacts required to modernize core BSS/OSS platforms.

The Senior Enterprise Systems Analyst operates at the intersection of business analysis, enterprise architecture, and consulting leadership. This individual sets direction, ensures delivery quality, and serves as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders while guiding and mentoring process architecture team members.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of end-to-end business and system process architecture across complex, multi-domain transformation initiatives
  • Analyze and synthesize business, technical, and architectural artifacts into coherent enterprise-level process and system flows
  • Perform hands-on analysis of system artifacts, integrations, and service interactions, to define how systems communicate and exchange data across the enterprise.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client leadership; facilitate high-level workshops to drive strategic alignment and formal sign-off
  • Define and enforce standards of BPMN process documentation, modelling, and governance across programs and teams
  • Oversee the creation and review of Application Context Diagrams (ACDs), System Interface Diagrams, and Business Process Models
  • Oversee team members, project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables for the process architecture workstream to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • 10–15 years of professional experience in technical architecture, enterprise analysis, or related consulting roles within complex corporate environments
  • Deep experience leading process architecture efforts for large-scale enterprise systems or digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong technical judgment, decision-making, and prioritization skills
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience coaching and mentoring teams on business process modelling and the creation of flow diagrams, with a strong emphasis on BPMN
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and complex client engagements in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Strong consulting background with the ability to lead client engagements and influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, actionable guidance
  • Expertise in developing and reviewing ACDs, system interface diagrams, and end-to-end process models
  • Strong judgment, decision-making, and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with SOX and/or operational controls within technical and business processes
  • Telecommunications industry experience, particularly within BSS/OSS environments
  • Experience supporting Tier 1 service providers or similarly complex enterprises
  • Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles as they relate to operational and system controls
  • Experience in business development or supporting the growth of a consulting practice

What We Offer
  • Strategic focus on the TMT sector and a reputation for solving the industry’s toughest challenges
  • Exposure to high-impact projects in the TMT sector
  • Opportunity for professional growth and advancement
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where your ideas matter
  • Competitive compensation and benefits

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
