Job Summary

Responsible for building and operating the vCMTS (virtual cable modem termination systems) platform. Work with the Divisions, Development and Ops teams for builds, testing, incident mitigation and problem management. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities
Handles incident mitigation for the virtual cable modem termination systems (vCMTS).
Partners with internal regional engineering teams to identify product reliability improvements and build automation tools.
Change implementation duties will include system upgrades, risk management, automation (scripting in Python, Bash, etc.).
Handles installation, configuration, implementation, and validation of various software upgrades and hardware replacement.
Participates in an on-call/ rotational shift. Must be willing and able to work after regular business hours (this can include weekends and holidays).
Hands-on experience in Unix/ Linux environments and Docker. Automation & scripting any of the following: Ansible, Chef, Bash, Python or any other language.
Network troubleshooting and configuration.
Hardware and software troubleshooting including, experience building and replacing system hardware.
Works with product and project management to integrate and operationalize new products.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Compensation

This job can be performed in Denver Campus with a Pay Range of $103,169.19 - $154,753.79

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
