We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for developing product designs and technical solutions that meet customer requirements while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency. The role supports product development through design creation, tooling coordination, and collaboration with cross functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop product designs based on customer and business requirements.
- Create and maintain CAD drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation.
- Prepare patterns, molds, screens, and other development related outputs.
- Identify opportunities to improve product performance, quality, and material utilization.
- Review and modify designs to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Production, and other stakeholders during the development process.
- Coordinate tooling requirements and provide technical support to relevant teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of design outputs to support development and production schedules.
- Maintain accurate design records and technical information.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and quality requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the product development process.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of product design, engineering principles, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
- Understanding of tooling, pattern development, and material utilization concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to develop practical and cost effective design solutions.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective planning, organization, and time management skills.
