The Vanta Questionnaire Automation team is developing a next generation, AI powered solution that allows organizations to automatically answer security questionnaires. This product solves an incredibly large pain point for any company that sells software and the team is heavily focused on expanding workflow automation to make the end to end process of security reviews as zero touch as possible.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for setting strategy, for leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably, for growing and developing talented engineers, and for cultivating a healthy, results-driven culture on your team.

Vanta’s business and team are growing quickly, and it’s essential that we lay the foundation for a successful organization. You’ll leverage your past experience and play a crucial role in laying the groundwork for a successful engineering organization, contributing to developing foundational processes that enable our entire team to scale — onboarding, interview loops, career frameworks, execution processes, and more.

What you’ll do as an Engineering Manager at Vanta:

  • Drive significant impact for our customers and business by leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably.

  • Build a best-in-class engineering team. Coach, mentor and create an environment where your team can do their best work and deliver for the business. 

  • Set direction and guide technical strategy, ensuring that your team is delivering long-term value aligned with Vanta’s business priorities.

  • Work closely with Vanta’s customers and customer-facing teammates to build and ship high-value products and infrastructure.

  • Play an integral role in laying the foundation for Vanta’s engineering culture.

How to be successful in this role:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a full-time engineering leadership role managing teams of 6-8+ engineers.

  • Strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality.

  • Experience managing and upleveling senior individual contributors.

  • Proven track record of guiding product and long term technical strategy.

  • Have participated in developing or driving engineering-wide initiatives (recruiting processes, career frameworks, etc) in a prior role.
