Healthcare providers go into medicine to care for people, but end up losing valuable time each day to admin work and other workplace challenges. Time that could otherwise be spent helping patients. And patients end up suffering as a result. At Commure, we build solutions that simplify providers' lives and keep them connected to their patients so they can focus on doing what matters most: providing care.

Our innovative suite of software and hardware – augmented by advanced LLM AI, RTLS, and healthcare workflow automations – boosts efficiency across every domain of healthcare, freeing up healthcare providers to spend more of their time caring for patients. Our growing suite of technologies include staff duress alerting, asset tracking, patient elopement, revenue cycle management, clinical documentation and intake, provider copilots, patient engagement and communication, home health, remote patient monitoring, and more.

Today, we support over 250,000 clinicians across hundreds of care sites around the country. And we’re only just getting started: Healthcare’s watershed moment for AI-powered transformation is here – so join us in creating the technology to power healthcare!

About the Role

As an Enterprise Sales Director, you will drive Commure + Athelas' biggest opportunities and most strategic areas for revenue growth — with a specific focus on our rapidly growing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) product. We are scaling quickly and seek individuals who are passionate about healthcare operations, relationship building, and high-stakes deal-making. You will be part of the Enterprise team, reporting to the SVP of Enterprise.

This will be a remote position with a significant amount of travel involved.

What You'll Do

  • Sales cycle management: Own the RCM sales process end to end — serving as the SME and executive presenter while working in tandem with the local AE. Manage internal and external stakeholders and engage the appropriate resources to drive results.

  • Meet quarterly and annual revenue targets, specifically focused on our RCM solution.

  • Manage prospective client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle, from lead generation to close.

  • Provide a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach tailored to the unique challenges of revenue cycle teams.

  • Track and maintain pipeline, forecasts, and customer activity using Salesforce and other tools.

  • Drive for big wins over $1M+, while being mindful of land-and-expand opportunities to grow RCM adoption within large provider organizations.

  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and working with implementation and services teams for a smooth handoff.

  • Deliver against client performance metrics and KPIs — supporting revenue expansion on existing RCM contracts.

  • Identify, prioritize, and qualify high-impact prospects in the provider space.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with decision-makers, including CFOs, VPs of Revenue Cycle, and other healthcare finance leaders.

  • Stay informed on industry trends in billing, collections, denials, and reimbursement to better position Commure + Athelas' RCM platform.

What You Have

  • 8+ years of experience selling into healthcare providers, ideally with a strong focus on Revenue Cycle Management, healthcare IT, or financial workflow tools.

  • Proven success selling to strategic and executive stakeholders in provider organizations — particularly in revenue cycle, finance, and operations.

  • Deep understanding of the healthcare sales cycle at the enterprise level, with a track record of leading large, complex deals.

  • Highly driven and execution-focused individual with a strong sense of urgency and belief in Commure + Athelas' mission.

  • Startup-oriented mindset: team player, self-starter, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.

  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and quotas.

  • Expertise using Salesforce or other enterprise-level CRM tools for forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting.

  • Excellent consultative sales skills in defining customer needs, articulating ROI, and presenting tailored RCM solutions.

Why you’ll love working at Commure + Athelas:

  • Highly Driven Team: We work hard and fast for exceptional results, knowing we’re doing mission-driven work to transform the country’s largest sector.

  • Strong Backing: We are backed by top investors including General Catalyst, Sequoia, Y Combinator, Lux, Human Capital, 8VC, Greenoaks Capital and Elad Gil.

  • Incredible Growth: Prior to our merger, Commure and Athelas had independently grown more than 500% YoY for three consecutive years. We’ve achieved Series D funding, have an industry-leading runway, and continue to scale rapidly.

  • Competitive Benefits: Flexible PTO (pending specific geographical locations) , medical, dental, vision, maternity and paternity leave. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction.

Commure + Athelas is committed to creating and fostering a diverse team. We are open to all backgrounds and levels of experience, and believe that great people can always find a place. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to all applicants throughout the application process.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
